February 29

Don't you wish you were born on February 29?
Then, you could honestly say you were 12 years old?
I would like that.

Continue

Blonde Girl just returned from her trip to Catalina Island, she was sick on the return ferry ride. In fact, one of the teachers took her to the deck for fresh air. While there, she threw up on a dolphin. In spite of the rough journey home, she had a great time. She is tired, but has a long weekend to recover.

Miss Brunette enjoyed not having her younger sister around. She was in a great mood for the entire three days. There is nothing like sisterly love.

St. Valentine's Day Massacre

Massacre. That is the only word for yesterday at school. One of the children actually said to me,
"this party was really boring. When do we get to eat cake?"

Really. We had all of the ingredients for a great party. Cake decorating, valentine delivery, vommit, tears, laughter, a flannel board story, cookies and juice. What more would you want?

Gearing Up

Tonight, "Downtown Abbey" and the "Grammy Awards". How will I cope. Miss B and I saw "The Vow". We liked it, but we are saps for a light, romantic comedy.

We watched "The Notebook" this afternoon for the 15th time. It has been at least 15 times.

OMG.

I've Got Nothing Left

Spent the usual day running around like a maniac. I picked up a coat that had to be altered, went to Blonde Girl's conference, attended the Patriotic Assembly and shopped for groceries.

After picking up Miss B at school, we dropped some things off at my school and we went to "The Vow". Cute movie. Blonde Girl and Love Man headed off to the Daddy Daughter Dance. It was the last one for them. Sob! Later, I stopped in at my friend's 50th birthday party. I can't believe I have a friend during 50, ha ha. Love Man joined us too after the dance. Whew!

Just another day in insanity.

Let's talk about the Patriotic Assembly for a second - it was my ninth!!!! How do the parents of six and seven children do it? That is the burning question.

Great Movies

Love Man and I have been going to a movie nearly every week. It has been fun. I have loved them all. Some are not for everybody, like the "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." But, if you can see only one or two movies a year, you should not miss "The Artist" and "The Descendants."

The Diorama

This is the diorama that Miss B had to do for her project and speech for "Fablehaven". I have not heard what her grade is, but I think the diorama turned out great.
Miss B went to the Winter Formal last weekend. She wore a very glam off the shoulder, black dress. Oh la la. I am waiting to see some photos of her.
