The Mighty Saguaro

The Saguaro, which is the state flower, is starting to bloom.
It is too big to fit in a photograph.
Look closely at the second picture,
you can see where the arm that broke and fell used to be.

Help Me!!

My friend Mrs. C knows I get most of my work done on the weekends and
was wondering how I am coping. She also knows I can not stand
a messy house. So, my answer is, not that well. But, I have all my homework done.
And, if I work like a dog all week, the house will be good by the weekend.
I will be heading to the Pointe on Sunday afternoon. . . . . . .

Still Cleaning

I think Blonde Girl likes to clean the carpet.

Spa Time

I don't know what else to say. . .

But I was a slave this weekend. I had to go to school all day Saturday. Arranged everywhere for the girls to be. Soccer and Safety Fairs, etc. Then, on Sunday, did 12 hours of homework. And, those of you who attended college with me - know I am speedy quick at homework. Yikes!! I am not taking any more classes until this fall. As the only one I need is offered by the same lady who taught my last two and I MY OPINION gives entirely too much homework.

Break Vase, Clean Floor

Note to self: don't play soccer in the living room.

Tried and True

My Mother is having a bit of a "widow makeover". Let me be the first to announce this:
there is no more kitchen carpet. Say "hello" to laminate flooring, which she likes so well she drove to DSM get more for the laundry room. Blonde Girl starting jumping up and down
when I told her.

Wind Chimes

The neighbor that always complained about one of our two dogs barking (during the day
for 15 minutes) MOVED! We thought something was going on and they moved to Texas.
Which is a good place for them as I am sure no one in Texas would let their dogs bark
for 15 minutes. Miss Brunette wants to have a BYOD party (Bring Your Own Dog)!

So I now had to put up more wind chimes to remind the neighbors that we are still here!
These are the more stylized version of Texas Wind Chimes, which are made with
beer bottles. I have seen them at some of the finer eateries around Arizona.

Scoreboard

All you can read is "Marci".

Too bad I didn't bring

Miss Brunette's camera

(which I use for this blog).

Field Week

It has been Field Week at LOM Elementary.
On Monday all 1000 plus students of LOM marched on the field for the Opening Day Ceremonies.
Several children were selected to carry the Olympic torch. The final torch runner was the Phoenix Sun's Gorilla.
Of course he was there, because at LOM we are all above average.
All of the children, including my own, were screaming their lungs out.

Love Man and I went to the Sun's game last night.
At the second quarter, second time-out - the scoreboard it read: "Marci Happy 20th Anniversry (yes, it was spelled wrong) I Love You. Bo".

This gorilla (yes, I bought two) was the special Team Shop deal of the night.
Well, I had bring them home.

These Boots are for Schelping Through Mud

By popular request, Miss G's boots.

Cemetery Picture

I asked Love Man to take a picture of
Miss G's boots and he took this great picture also.

As they would say it school, the composition of this picture is remarkable. It was a very cold, rainy day and you can tell from the photo.

The Legionaires had just finished with the
gun salute and the trumpeter was playing
"Taps".

I have changed the way I can receive comments.

Diorama

Blonde Girl was assigned the walking stick as her insect to do a report and project.
She was distressed over not receiving the cockroach.
But, she is now happy to be a 2nd grade expert on the preying mantis.

Soccer Mom

Love Man had to take Blonde Girl for the soccer team pictures and
soccer individual pictures. To keep things calm, it was held at
Peter Piper Pizza. Well you can just imagine, the mass confusion.

Or, He Could Ride This

Miss Brunette might let him ride her bike.
The lady that hit him offered to pay to fix his bike. She was writing him a check and then asked how much it would cost. Love Man said $50. She crossed out $100 and wrote the check for $50. When I saw the check, I said, "let me get this straight, you've been marked down."

Love Man's New Ride

He is fine, but Love Man got hit by a car while biking home from work.

He jumped out of the way and the bike took the hit.

So, while his bike is getting re-aligned, Love Man thinks he is going to ride MY bike to work.

I told him, Phoenix is still a cow town and he
might get clipped on the way to work.

I am totally serious. He might ride my bike.

And, our family motto remains "because we're not crazy enough."

Rodeo Days Parade

Arizona parades have less fire trucks
and more bikers and horses.

And, the usual cast of characters.

Of course, Miss Brunette had to twirl.

Busy, Busy

We have had quite a week. Blonde Girl
and Miss Brunette had "good" report
cards. We have a parade and a soccer
game tomorrow. And, we are still huge fans of the Red Box.

Sedona

Miss Brunette thinks it would be okay if we got a cabin in Sedona.
