So far, I have walked 10, 297 steps and I am only halfway done with my day.  Usually, I get in 15,000 plus.

I'm Back

Hello, again

We are well.  Miss B is a junior in college and Blonde G is getting ready to graduate from high school  in May.

Our little dog, Sam, died a week ago and we are sad about that.  The other digs and cat are fine.

We are All Fine

We are doing well.

Miss B does attend NAU where there was a shooting.  She was upset by it all and feels sad that this tragedy happened.

She pledged Kappa Delta and seems happy in that group.

Blonde G is ultra busy.  It is marching band season and she is on the go.  They received an excellent rating and 5 captions at their first competition.

Love Man and I are also good.  He keeps busy at his job and I keep busy with my school.

Heading to College

Miss Brunette goes to NAU on Thursday and she is very excited.

The office is full of her stuff that we have been acquiring all summer.  We mostly bought coats.
Rain coat.  Blue jean jacket.  Winter coat.  This thing called socks and rain boots.

Yesterday, I paid the first part of her housing, meals and a bunch of fees.  OMG.

Blonde Girl is going, too and missing school unless she has something major.  Blonde Girl says she  needs to go to help Miss B organize things.  I said , "the rooms are pretty small with our four and Lauren's parents, we may have to go."

Back Into the Swing of It

School started for Blonde Girl last Monday as did my workshops.  The next couple of days, I will be doing home visits.  Using Love Man's auto as it has stellar air.

Miss Brunette moves to college on the 27th.  She is ready to go and excited.

The cat, on the other hand, my have issues.

I Got Nothing

Miss B summer lifeguard job has finished for the season.  Blonde Girl is getting ready for her second week of band camp.  She did another week at the beginning of the summer.  Hopefully she has her music memorized.

Last night a made an awesome strawberry and blueberry cobbler.  It was yummy. I also made ice cream to go with it.  There are two left.....hopefully we can keep them until tonight.

Other than that, I have nothing to report.

The dogs are good.  The cat is the same.  He has had treats at least twice this morning.

The Sameness of Same

We are all doing fine.  The girls are better, although fully recovered but on the mend.  Miss B returned to work on July 3 and is working reduced hours.  So, that is good.  She missed her pool friends.

Blonde Girl would stay busy 24/7 if I would let her.

Love Man is also doing well.

I am trying my best to keep up with everything.  The dogs still love their morning walk and we have not seen any coyotes for a while.  They must be sleeping the heat off.  I don't know.  Glad not to run into them.

So Little Time, So Many Appointments

Both girls are hurt.  Blonde Girl sprained her ankle and Miss Brunette hurt her neck in the realm of lifeguarding.  They are on the mend.

Most of my free time is spent driving the girls to appointments and therapy.

On the up side.  Miss B graduated, was Prom Queen and was one of the Lumberjack Scholarship awardees.  It has been crazy, fun.

Blonde Girl keeps busy.  She has three weeks of Band Camp and is back to playing the
vibophone.

Love Man hiked the Grand Canyon for the 5th time and was pelted with rain and sleet.  Sounds fun.

I am just doing my thing and enjoying the fact that school is out for summer.

Work and Work and Work

Hello. I've been busy trying to get as much done at work, home and NCL prepping for what I may April & May Mania.  So far, it is helping.

I even had time this afternoon to finish my ironing.

The weather here is beautiful, cool and windy.  I was actually cold last night and we have not yet turned on our air conditioner (actually it is a heat pump) and that speaks volumes.

Lemons on my Mind

The tree looks so innocent, but, we had a bumper crop of lemons this year.  Last year we had none due to a bad freeze, but OMG the tree made up for it.  I have given tons to my sister, who moved here last fall and used a lot myself.  I have also begged people to come over for lemons.  I have had three takers.

I have made lemon curd more times than I care to admit.  It is the best.

I think I have two years worth juiced, frozen and stored in Ball and/or Kerr jars.  They are the great.  They don't break or leak.  I am a huge fan.

I am nearly lemoned out.

Yes, Another Post

Miss Brunette is a senior and is in California for the yearbook trip to Disneyland.  She comes back to night. Blonde Girl goes to California to Disneyland for the band, chorus, theater trip next Thursday.  I think Miss B has been to Disneyland 5 times and  Blonde Girl maybe four.  I don't know.  They lead a busy life.

All of this activity has not allowed us to gone on our Spring Break vacation.  But, here is what we have done.  

*  We have been to NAU twice.

*  Blonde Girl has attended one birthday party and one quinceanera.

*  Miss B has been on her yearbook trip

*  Blonde Girl has meet with the youth pastor and presented her faith paper.  She basically told her she liked     the religion where you can believe in anything and everything.  The Luterans are still taking her.  OMG.

*  Miss Brunette has worked on the final submission of the yearbook.  It is now done.

*  Love Man did work and junk at home

* We have had Chinese food and In 'n Out Burger

*  Girls have spent the night with our girls.

*  I juiced about a thousand lemons and am  begging people to come over for some.  Another post on this         tomorrow.

*  Miss Brunette has done a senior memory board and will be presented at church with the other seniors.           One of the girls is a yearbook editor and close friend.

*  Miss Brunette has seen "Cinderella" twice.  Love Man and I saw "McFarland USA" and it was awesome.

*  Love Man, Blonde G and her friend will attend the P83 Concert.  

The Rest of the Story

Okay, I have no excuse for my absence.  We did find the Thunder Shirt about a month after it went missing and Abby happily wears it when it storms.  It was velcro attached to a girl's clothing.  I knew it!  I kept saying "look in your drawers!"

We have been crazy busy with the girls.

The oldest, aka Miss Brunette, is the photo editor for the yearbook and has gone to almost every event at THS.  She is also busy with NCL and preparing for NAU in the fall.  She wants to major in education.

The youngest, aka Blonde Girl, has taken high school by storm.  She is in marching band, which took 7th place in the Super State Band Competition in their division. She is also in soccer, chorus, concert band, photo club, drama club and was in the play, "The Little Mermaid,"  In addition, to all of that she is in NCL and completing her last year of confirmation.

Luckily all of BG's activities are not at once.

Love Man is good and continues to like his job.  He is an avid hiker and yesterday hiked 9 1/2 miles.

I am the same and trying to keep up with my job, NCL, the family and house.

We have added no new pets.  We still have the three dogs and the cat.

A Private Investigation

The Thunder Shirt is still missing.

We have looked everywhere for it.

It has a lot of velcro on it and it has to to stuck to something.  I don't know.  I figure, the minute I buy a new one, the other one will turn up.

Rain Day

We did not have school today due to extreme rain.  Phoenix does not have great street drainage as it rains
6 - 8 inches per year.  The girls have NEVER missed school due to weather.  They look at me vaguely when I try to explain to them what a Snow Day is.

We had our Rain Day.  We went and watched someone get rescued when he tried to drive through a washed out street.  This is a reoccurring problem in our neighborhood.  This is the second rescue we have watched since the Monsoon Season began.

I believe this is why Arizona has a Stupid Motorist Law.

And So It Goes

Tonight is the first high school football game.  Blonde Girl is going with the band as they go to the away games.  Miss Brunette is going as it is an important game and she is the photo editor for the yearbook.

And, I don't want to alarm you - but the thunder shirt has gone missing.  I washed it and it was with the folded laundry.  I am spending time tomorrow searching for it.  It also rained and poor Abby followed me around the house while I searched the drawer where it lives and the basket by my bed for that stupid, very helpful shirt.

Ta Da!

We did survive the summer break.  Miss Brunette continued her work as a life guard and is going to be one of the head guards next year.  Blonde Girl became a certified life guard and will hopefully continue to pass the swimming instructor class, the swimming test, etc. and be eligible for the best summer job ever.

BG also attended lots of band rehearsals and is now at school at 6:30 in the morning four days a week.

My school starts tomorrow.  We have done our room, the home visits and made it through our Open House.

Funny, I can not remember his name.

The girls were fine with his untimely death.  Better than with some of our other dearly departed Betas.

Thunder Shirt to the Rescue

 It rained last night and thundered quite a bit.  I got up to get Abby her thunder shirt and she followed me and stood while I pulled it out of the drawer.  She then held very still while I pressed the velcro down.  She is still wearing it this morning.

I am not sure how much rain we got.  It seemed pretty dry this morning.

This is my second week off of work.

The girls are good.

Miss Brunette is still life guarding.

Blonde Girl got into the Life Guard Academy, which keeps up busy four days a week.

I went hiking with Love Man on Friday evening to see the big, orange moon and fell.  I twisted my ankle.
It is swollen, but I am doing fine.

Today, my friend and her daughter came over to hang out by the pool.  That was fun and I need to do that more often.  It has been too long.

made some calls and went to Circle K twice.
