Fall is in the Air

Love Man reports frost on his car.

We are still in flip-flops,

but it is cooling down.

I do love Halloween,

it is the American pumpkin holiday.

The Jewels

At SRP, every Wednesday is "Jewel Wednesday".
Mr. Jim hides stones, coins, jewels, glass starfish, etc.
The girls, to this day, dig in the sand to find unclaimed treasures.
Once when the back-to-school training started
a week before LOM started, my girls and other ex-SRP alums dug
every day, all day.
Miss Brunette still has her treasures in a little basket.

She is Ready

Miss Brunette leaves tonight for Camp CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute).
She is very excited.

Everything must be in a rolling duffle and a back-pack,
which includes her pillow, sleeping bag, and blanket.

They are getting on the bus at 10 tonight and driving all night.

After breakfast in Long Beach, California - they get on the ferry to Catalina Island.

They had pick which parent got to go.

A veterinarian (because of his knowledge) and another teacher was chosen.

Two of the sixth grade classes will be going.

The other 6th grade classes will go in the spring.

Love Man wanted to take one of them to CdA.

They have to stay together, they are too co-dependent.

Besides, I don't have winter coats for them yet.
